Richard James, also known as Aphex Twin, released his album 'Richard D. James Album' in 1996. The album features a minimalist and experimental sound that is both original and unpredictable. While James' experiments are more original than those of other techno and ambient artists, his work is not quite on par with that of COIL's 'Love's Secret Domain'.
